What's Coming

What’s Coming to Old Town Keller?

The Keller Depot is an innovative small-town destination designed to bring coffee, retail, pop-ups, food trucks, makers, and micro-businesses together in one experiential hub.

More than a collection of spaces, The Keller Depot is being built as a place to gather, discover, linger, and grow — where local businesses can test ideas, neighbors can follow the journey, and Old Town Keller can experience something both nostalgic and new.

Rooted in Keller’s railroad history and shaped for the future of local business, The Keller Depot will come to life in phases through anchor tenants, rotating vendors, community activations, and future small-footprint marketplace opportunities.

Railroad Roots

Rooted in Keller's Railroad Story.

In the early days of Keller, the arrival of the railroad helped transform a small settlement into a growing town center. Its influence ran so deep that the town itself took its name from the railroad era — making that history a defining part of Keller's identity from the very beginning.

The depot became more than a stop along the tracks — it became a place where goods arrived, people connected, businesses grew, and the community began to take shape.

Today, The Keller Depot honors that history by bringing new life to a property in the heart of historic Old Town Keller. The railroad brought people, commerce, and connection to this area — and that same spirit is what we hope to carry forward for the next generation of Keller.

Beyond Keller's broader railroad roots, this property carries its own personal connection to that history. Local oral history remembers the home as once belonging to Mr. Scudder, Keller's Texas & Pacific Railroad station master, who raised his family here. His daughter, Sue Scudder Mayes, grew up in the home and has returned over the years to share memories and stories from that time.

For us, that makes this project even more meaningful. The Keller Depot is not simply inspired by railroad history — it is connected to the people who lived it.

We're not starting from scratch. We're restoring a story.

Meet the Visionaries Behind The Keller Depot

The Keller Depot is being brought to life by Ashley Hernandez and Jamie Hurley, a women-owned duo of Keller residents, investors, and visionaries with a shared heart for community, small business, and intentional development.

Together, through Hive & Holdings, they are creating a place where Old Town Keller can gather, families can connect, local businesses can grow, and new ideas can take root.

“The strongest things are rarely built alone.”

Ashley brings an entrepreneurial background rooted in storytelling, local business growth, branding, and community connection. Through Kickin' It Media Group, Kickin' It in Keller, and the success of 139 Olive, she has helped elevate local businesses and create meaningful gathering spaces.

Jamie brings a strong background in property management, operations, and investment-minded stewardship. Her experience helps shape the project with practical insight, long-term vision, and the structure needed to bring intentional spaces to life.

Inspired by Ecclesiastes 4:12, Hive & Holdings is rooted in faith, partnership, and purpose. Like a hive, The Keller Depot is being designed with intention — many moving pieces working together to create something stronger, sweeter, and more lasting than any one piece could become on its own.
